Here's a look at how former Oregon players performed in week one of the 2024 season.

Oregon's roster turnover continued under Dan Lanning and company, as they lost 20 players to the transfer portal in 2024, a year after losing 34 in 2023.Oregon combated that by the Ducks' influx of top-end talent in the portal while taking nearly 30 players from the high school level the past two seasons.
With the help of some transfers, the Ducks narrowly took home the victory against Idaho to start the season at 1-0, taking down the Vandals by a final score of 24-14.
"It is certainly a piece of the puzzle,"Lanning said of the NCAA transfer portal and teams' usage. "Right now, I would tell you that different colleges are taking different philosophies. Some colleges are living in the transfer portal world and that's really all they live in. As a former high school coach, I am still a big believer in developing some of the talent on your roster and growing it from the ground up. I think you have to do that through the high school ranks. I would just tell coaches to continue to push guys they feel strong about. If a team is not looking at their players, that means somebody else probably is, and it will be somebody else's reward if they continue to recruit the high school level well."
Among the 20 who entered the transfer portal following the 2023-2024 season, nearly all found a new school for the 2024-2025 season, with many finding landing spots at the Power Four level.
For this exercise, we'll examine how some of the transfers from the previous few years fared in week1 of the 2024 college football season with their new schools.
