Thursday, October 24, 1974, THE COURIER-NEWS Eric Schedin ELIZABETH Eric 0. Schedin, 74, of 3 West End Place, died Tuesday, 22, 1974) at home. Born in Soderfors Upland, Sweden, he settled here in 1923. He was the husband of Mrs. Hilda (Grob) Schedin.

He was a self-employed floor contractor for 48 years, specializing in parquet floors. He was the personal body guard to the the late King Gustav of Sweden, and was a member of the Swedish National Guard. He began his athletic career in Sweden and won many trophies in pre competition in track and field and skiing. He continued athletics as the manager of Scandinavian soccer team in this country as well individual competition. He was a member of the International Carpenters Union, Local 715 and Orden Lodge 67, Order of Vasa.

Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Vera Millet of Edison; a sister, Mrs. Vera (Sjudin) Carson in Sweden, and two grandchildren. The August F. Schmidt Memorial Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Mrs. W. Willsey GREENVILLE, Tenn. Mrs. Martha (Reimers) Willsey, 88, formerly of Bound Brook, Middlesex and Cranford, died Friday (Oct.

18, 1974) in Greenville Hospital. Born in Jersey City, she had been a Cranford resident for 35 years and lived in the Bound Brook-Middlesex Area for 20 years before coming here where she lived the past two months. She was the widow of William J. Willsey. Surviving are a sister, Mrs.

Jesse Porter of New Dorp; two step-daughters, Mrs. Robert Schubel of Tinen, Belgium, and Mrs. Doris Reimers of Bound Brook and three stepgrandchildren. The Taggart-Chamberlain Funeral Home, Bound Brook, is handling local arrangements. Oistrakh dead at 66 AMSTERDAM, Netherlands (AP) David Oistrakh, the world renowned Soviet violinist, died early today in his room at an Amsterdam hotel, a spokesman for the Amsterdam Concertgebouw Orchestra announced.

Oistrakh was 66 and had a history of heart trouble in recent years. The spokesman said the cause of death had not been determined yet, but it was assumed he died of a heart attack. Oistrakh in recent years had widened his musical activity to include conducting and arrived in Amsterdam on Oct. 7 for a Brahms series with certgebouw. He had conducted six concerts, the last one two days ago, and had been the soloist in three of them.

J. J. Gallagher MIDDLESEX John Joseph Gallagher, 41, of 126 Vogel Place, died yesterday (Oct. 23, 1974) at Raritan Valley Hospital. Born in Scranton, he was a Central Jersey resident for seven years.

He was employed as a bartender. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Judith Ackerman Gallagher; four daughters, Miss Wendy Gallagher, Miss Robin Gallagher, Miss Tracey Gallagher, and Miss Cindy Gallagher, all at home; two brothers, Joseph of Kentucky and Harry Jr. of Washington, D.C.; four sisters, Mrs. Warren Ousterman of Garwood, Miss Irene Gallagher, Miss Romain Gallagher, and Miss Helen Gallagher, all of Maryland.
