Madison Square Garden Balcony Seats (1)

Features & Amenities

On the Madison Square Garden seating chart, Balcony Seats are 300-Level seats at the ends of the arena. This includes sections 301-309 in the East Balcony and 317-323 in the West Balcony. These sections are located on the Chase Bridge level of MSG.

West Balcony vs. East Balcony Lounges

All Balcony sections include two rows of seats plus a row of barstools at the back. Guests will have a bird's eye view of the action from the top of the arena.

East Balcony seats are also known as The Lounges. These seats are larger than normal stadium seats and are over-sized with extra padding. Behind the seats is a hospitality area with food, additional seating and drinks available for purchase.

Lounge Seats are typically sold in group ticket packages, but are occasionally available to individual fans.

Additional Notes

  • West Balcony seats are rarely sold for concerts because they are behind an end-stage setup
    • They are available for Billy Joel concerts
  • The Rangers shoot twice towards West Balcony sections
  • Barstool rows are typically labeled BS (e.g.: BS3)
  • A pre-set food menu is included for most major events in Lounge Seats
    • Review the seller notes when purchasing tickets to confirm

There are 10 seats in each row of Section 305 at MSG. Seat 1 is on your left as you look towards the ice. The Lounge Seats on the East side of the stadium (also called the eighteen76 Balcony) are probably the most comfortable seats at MSG. The seats are leather, padded and extra-wide. The sections are small with few rows and seats, so getting in and out isn't an issue (plus you get in-seat wait service). However, this all comes with being about a mile away from the action on the ice, court -- or in your case -- the stage. Since Billy Joel is playing on an end-stage setup, you will be more than 200 feet from the stage (though he will be head-on looking at you). The sound quality is a little diluted being that far away and you won't be able to see much detail on the stage. So it really comes down to comfort vs. view. If comfort is a higher priority, there aren't many better seats....
