Department Summary

Join the UNT System Human Resources team as we continue our journey to transform the lives of our students through our partnerships and services with our component institutions and system administration. It’s an exciting time in the UNT System, with many current and new HR initiatives on the horizon. We are looking for a recruiting coordinator to support these initiatives and our dynamic culture.

Position Overview

The Human Resources Department at the University of North Texas System is seeking to hire a Recruiting Coordinator in Talent Acquisition to join our team. The Recruiting Coordinator serves as the point of contact for hiring departments who has an opening within the organization. The team member is also the first point of contact for incoming calls/emails/requests for the UNT System Human Resources Department.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate's degree in business or human resources management or related field and one year of related experience or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Knowledge and skill in (or ability to quickly learn) utilization of relevant applicant tracking software and other technical resources.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to plan, organize, and effectively manage multiple assignments.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities.
- Ability to focus on providing a high level of customer service and follow through.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in relevant field; PHR or SHRM certification; Human Resources or Recruiting experience

Required License/Registration/Certifications

Job Duties:

  • Review job postings that provide a summary of key responsibilities, activities, and qualifications for the job. Reviews minimum qualifications for accuracy.
  • Receives inbound calls and answers general inquiries using knowledge of current HR procedures and practices or knowledge gained through researching online resources during the call.
  • Provides technical and administrative support, E-Verify expertise, and support to Campus Human Resources, Hiring Managers, Recruiters, employment partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepares offer letters, verifies minimum qualifications for the position are met, conducts pre-employment screening, and coordinates the onboarding process.
  • Composes and revises correspondence and informational materials.
  • Display a high level of responsiveness to both internal and external customer's needs, always maintaining excellent customer service skills.
  • Maintains current knowledge of the organizational structure of all UNT System institutions and policies and procedures relevant to assigned area of responsibility.
  • Communicate directly with employing departments or Campus HR regarding recruitment issues and requirements. This also includes communicating with candidates regarding their application status.
